NWOYFL – 5th & 6th Grade Tackle Football
This is a 5th & 6th grade league with other Northwest Ohio communities. Our Sylvania teams will be organized based on the high school district in which children reside, as well as their grade level. The program entails 3 – 5 team ‘contacts’ per week. Team contact include practice, scrimmages & games.
COACHES ARE NEEDED! Please consider helping out and contact Bryce Erskine if interested.
All players must complete 8 days of conditioning before practicing with pads.
Dates: July 27 – October 25, 2026 (6 – 7 Games)

Conditioning Begins: July 27th @ 6 pm @ Pacesetter Park
Grade: 5th & 6th grade (Sylvania Public & Parochial Students Only)
Parent Meeting: Start of conditioning @ Pacesetter Park
Location: Northview, Southview, McCord, Oregon Recreation, Anthony Wayne HS, and other NW Ohio Communities
Games: Primarily Sundays (alternate Saturdays are possible)
Time: 9 am – 5 pm (Sun) / alternate times are possible
Fees: $125 / $10 additional after deadline

October 25th: Season ends | Please return all loaned equipment. If not returned, it will result in a fee. | Games jerseys are to be kept by players.

All other equipment such as helmet, shoulder pads, game jersey, practice & game pants will be provided by Sylvania Recreation

Our indoor flag football program is open to all children entering 3rd – 6th grade, playing up is not permitted. The program focuses on the fundamentals, rules and skill development needed to play football. Parent volunteers are needed to coach the teams, please consider volunteering.
Special requests to be on a team with certain friends or coaches will be taken into consideration but cannot be guaranteed. We recommend that all players purchase a mouthguard for the program. Appropriate age groups may be combined based on registration numbers.
